A LOOK AT THIS WEEKEND
The 10th-ranked University of Oklahoma softball team hosts the Oklahoma Spring Festival this weekend. Action begins Saturday at 11 a.m. with Missouri State taking on Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Indiana faces Missouri State at 1:15 p.m. Oklahoma opens against Indiana at 3:30 p.m. and closes out day one against UAPB at 5:45 p.m. Sunday opens with Arkansas-Pine Bluff against Indiana at 10 a.m. and OU and Missouri State at 12:15 p.m. The No. 1 seed faces the No. 2 seed at the OU Softball Complex at 2:30 p.m., while the three and four seeds play each other at the same time at Reaves Park. A LOOK AT OKLAHOMA AS A TEAM
• After starting the Cathedral City Classic 0-4, Oklahoma has won seven straight (2/27-present).
• The Sooners defeated Tulsa 9-0 in five innings Wednesday. It was the first run-rule win over the Golden Hurricane since Feb. 27, 2008.
• The Sooners have played one of the nation's toughest schedules to date - five opponents all ranked in the top 15.
• Seven of OU's 22 opponents have been ranked at the time of the contest.

A LOOK AT OKLAHOMA INDIVIDUALLY
• Sophomore Jessica Shults is the team leader in batting average (.423) and with 43 RBI, more than half of her total from last year (62).
• Shults leads the Big 12 in RBI, home runs (12), total bases (73) and slugging percentage (1.028). She ranks fourth in hits (30).
• Freshman Brittany Williams has a team-best 23 walks and leads the Big 12 in the category.
• Williams is leads the Big 12 in on-base percentage (.600) and is third in slugging percentage (.925).
• Shults and Williams account for 64 of the Sooners' 141 RBI and have a combined 19 home runs of OU's 27.
• Sophomore Keilani Ricketts has thrown complete game shutouts in each of her last four starts.
• Ricketts recorded has 19 career shutouts, eighth on the career all-time list.
• Her 475 strikeouts, fifth on the career list and 122 from tying for fourth-place. Ricketts averages 11.88 K's per game.
• Ricketts is second in the Big 12 in strikeouts and shutouts (5) and second in complete games (10).
• Haley Nix hits just behind Shults and Williams in the lineup and has 18 RBI and 23 hits.
• Seven players in OU's lineup already have scored 10 or more runs this year with three with 20 or more.
• Head coach Patty Gasso is 792-254-2 (.755) in 17 season at Oklahoma. She is eight wins shy of OU win No. 800.
• With her 800th Division I win, Gasso would become the 20th active coach to reach the mark and 30th all-time.
• Gasso is 954-314-2 (.751) in 21 seasons as a head coach. She needs 46 wins for career win No. 1,000.
A LOOK AT THE SERIES HISTORY
• Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Indiana, 5-2-1. The two teams last met in Norman in 2006 (tied 11-11).
• OU leads the all-time series with Missouri State 14-12. The last meeting was in 2008 (L, 3-2).
• This is the first series meeting between Oklahoma and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
