The OU Invitational Friday session has been postponed due to high winds. Friday races begin Saturday at 8 a.m.
Norman, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma women's rowing team hosts the OU Invitational on the Oklahoma River this weekend, March 11-13. This marks the second appearance OU has made on the Oklahoma River this season and the sixth overall.

"We're looking forward to the opening weekend of our spring season," Head Coach Leeanne Crain said. "We'll get a chance to see how we fare against some solid teams including one of our Big 12 opponents. We have a lot more depth this year so it will be particularly interested to see how we do in the second varsity eight and varsity four."
The Sooners open Friday at 3:40 p.m. CT with the second novice eight racing against Kansas. The remainder of the afternoon features the first and second varsity eight, first and second varsity four and novice eight facing Tulsa. OU finishes the session against Kansas and Creighton in the second varsity four event.
The Sooners return to the water Saturday morning at 8 a.m. CT to race Kansas in the first, second and third varsity eights, first and second varsity four and the first and second novice eight.
OU faces off against Creighton in the afternoon, starting at 3:50 p.m. CT. The afternoon session features the first and second varsity eight as well as the first and second varsity four boats.
Oklahoma competes against SMU Sunday morning at 9 a.m. to close out the weekend. The first and second varsity eight and first and second varsity four boat compete against SMU.
"I've been impressed with the work ethic of the squad over the past few weeks," Crain added. "I think we're as ready as we can be at this point in the season. Racing four times over the weekend give us a chance to check lineups and make adjustments where needed."
