NORMAN, Okla. - The sixth-ranked University of Oklahoma softball team hosts St. Gregory's on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. CT at the OU Softball Complex. Tickets are available for $10 (reserved) and $8 (general admission). Youth and senior citizens are admitted for $5. Live stats are available at SoonerSports.com.

Free 2011 schedule cards, magnets and posters will be available on opening night. Fifty-cent hot dogs and Cokes are also available as long as supplies last. Ten lucky fans will win tickets to The Preview featuring Bedlam on March 5 in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma is coming off a 5-1 performance at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. The Sooners defeated Cal State Bakersfield (11-2), Appalachian State (8-0), Northwestern (9-1), Western Michigan (5-0) and then-second ranked Arizona (11-1). OU's only loss was to No. 12 Arizona State (4-3).

Freshman Destinee Martinez led the team with a .684 batting average (13-for-19). The rookie scored six runs and drove in three while producing a .737 slugging and .714 on-base percentage. Sophomore All-American Jessica Shults hit .632 (12-for-19) with seven runs scored. Shults had four doubles, four home runs and 15 runs batted in. She registered a 1.474 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage.

Sophomore All-American Keilani Ricketts went 3-0 in the circle for the Sooners. Ricketts made four appearances, posting a 0.88 earned run average. She allowed two runs and four walks in 16.0 innings pitched, while striking out 27. Ricketts held opponents to a .098 batting average. At the plate, she hit .364 with one home run and five RBI.

Sophomore Michelle Gascoigne threw the seventh perfect game in Oklahoma program history in OU's 8-0 blanking of Appalachian State. Kirsten Allen and Allee Allen both saw time as well with K. Allen getting the win over Western Michigan.

Following the mid-week contest, OU travels to Las Cruces, N.M. for the Troy Cox Classic hosted by New Mexico State.
