NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma opened its fall slate of softball contests with a 27-0 win over Seminole State on Wednesday, collecting a total of 30 hits in the 10-inning affair. The Sooners were led by Keilani Ricketts who pounded out two three-run home runs in back-to-back at-bats in the bottom of the third and fourth innings. OU's pitching battery gave up just four hits.
The Sooners scored a run in each inning except for the sixth, the only inning they were held scoreless by Seminole State. Prior to that, OU hit the 20-run mark, finishing the first five innings of the contest up 20-0.
The Sooners return to fall action next Wednesday at 6 p.m. as they host Western Oklahoma State at Marita Hynes Field. General admission for the contest is $6 with students K-12 $5 and senior citizens $4. Children under four will be admitted free of charge.
