NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma Softball program opens its fall schedule against Seminole State at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Marita Hynes Field. The affair kicks off an eight-contest fall slate that runs through Nov. 3 with a match up against the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars.

The Sooners return for action for the first time since competing in their sixth Women's College World Series. Oklahoma Head Coach Patty Gasso returns the majority of her roster, having lost just three seniors from the 2011 squad that posted a 43-19 overall record. Keilani Ricketts and Jessica Shults, both All-Americans last season, return after playing for Team USA in the World Cup of Softball and will be joined by six freshmen who will be putting the OU uniform on for the first time.

General admission for the contest is $6 with students K-12 $5 and senior citizens $4. Children under four will be admitted free of charge.
