OU Hosts Fall Softball Festival

NORMAN, Okla. — The Oklahoma Softball program hosts its annual Fall Softball Festival beginning Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Marita Hynes Field in Norman. The three-day event features six teams with the Sooners playing four games. OU action at the festival begins on Friday evening as it faces Odessa College at 7:30 p.m.

The Sooners return to action on Saturday in back-to-back games as they face North Central Texas at 5:15 p.m. and Murray State at 7:30 p.m. OU closes out the event on Sunday with a final game against Connors State at 2:30 p.m.

The Oklahoma squad enters the weekend with a fall record of 3-0 having outscored its opponents 60-1 in 27 innings of action. The Sooners have also out hit their three foes a combined 61-8.

Keilani Ricketts returns for the Sooners after winning a gold medal for the USA Softball Women's National Team at the Pan American Games. The lefthander accumulated four wins in the circle for the Americans including an 11-1 win over Canada in the gold medal game.

General daily admission for the Fall Festival is $6 with students K-12 $5 and senior citizens $4. Children under four will be admitted free of charge.
