NORMAN, Okla. — The Oklahoma Softball team won its third contest of the fall Friday night as it defeated Newman University 13-1 in seven innings. OU gave up its first run in the three games while collecting 11 hits to Newman's two.
Through three fall contests, OU has now outscored its opponents 60-1 while putting together 61 hits.
OU scored its first run in the second before allowing Newman to tie it up in the fourth. The Sooners responded in the bottom of the inning with three runs before scoring three more in the sixth. Oklahoma ended the game with six additional runs in the bottom of the seventh.
OU returns to fall action next weekend when it hosts the OU Fall Festival beginning Friday at 10:30 a.m.
