Sooners Host Third Fall Contest

NORMAN, Okla. — The Oklahoma Softball program hosts its third contest of the fall Friday at 7 p.m. as it welcomes Newman University to Marita Hynes Field in Norman. The Sooners sit at 2-0 in the fall after defeating Seminole State and Western Oklahoma State in previous fall contests. In the two 10-inning contests, the Sooners have outscored their opponents 47-0, collecting 50 hits between the two games.

OU will be without junior pitcher Keilani Ricketts for the second game as she is currently with the USA Softball Women's National Team at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.

General admission for the contest is $6 with students K-12 $5 and senior citizens $4. Children under four will be admitted free of charge.
