NORMAN, Okla. – The 39th-ranked Oklahoma women's tennis team continues its 2011 season at the 2011 ITA Kick-Off Weekend at Stanford University in Stanford, Calif., on Friday, Jan. 28 and Saturday, Jan. 29.

Oklahoma is the No. 3 seed in the Stanford tournament and will face No. 2 seed UNLV on Friday at 4 p.m. (CT). Depending on Friday's results, the Sooners will either play No. 1 Stanford or No. 4 Cal Poly on Saturday at 4 p.m. (CT).

The Sooners are coming off a 5-2 win over Wichita State in OU's season opener on Sunday, Jan. 23. OU won the doubles point behind dominating performances at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions, before claiming four singles points to seal the victory.

The tournament this weekend is one of OU's big road tests this season, with all four participating teams ranked in the top 75 nationally. UNLV is currently ranked No. 29 in the country,Cal Poly is No. 65, while reigning national champion Stanford is ranked No. 1.

Following the tournament, OU returns home to Norman to face Arkansas as the Sooners host Campus Kids Day on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 12:30 p.m. Fans in attendance can win various prizes, including a brand new tennis racquet. OU will also host a serving contest and free kids clinic after the match.
