Thirteen Sooners Head to USA Championships

NORMAN, Okla. — While the 2010 NCAA season has come to a close, Oklahoma Track and Field athletes are still in action as a group of 13 current Sooners head to Des Moines, Iowa, this week for the 2010 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The group will also be joined at the event by three Oklahoma alums.
Action at the five-day event kicks off Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. CST as Claire McConnell competes in the heptathlon in the junior championships. Wednesday will feature just the junior heptathlon and decathlon before senior events begin Thursday afternoon.
The third event of the 2010 USATF Outdoor Visa Championship Series, the 2010 USA Outdoor Championships will be televised on the following dates (All times Central):
June 25 - 7:00 - 9 p.m. on ESPN
June 26 - 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. on ESPN
June 26 - 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on NBC
June 27 - 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. on ESPN
