FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- An increased focus on the sprint events after dropping the long jump this season continued to pay off Saturday for Scottesha Miller as the junior recorded a personal best for the second consecutive day, this time in the 200-meter dash at the Tyson Invitational. Miller was one of nine Sooners to record NCAA provisional qualifying marks as three athletes won event titles.
Miller's time of 23.28 was fourth overall among professional athletes and the fastest among collegiate competitors. The PR comes a day after the Daytona Beach, Fla., native recorded a personal best of 7.33 in the 60-meter dash on Friday. Miller also ran the anchor leg of the women's 4x400-meter relay that recorded the ninth-fastest time in OU history, 3:42.99, as she was joined by Marlena Wesh, Jalesa Walker and Sherine Wells.

Moon's jump is the eighth best effort in program history.
Mookie Salaam followed Miller's lead in the men's 200-meter dash as he lowered his season best to an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.09 to finish eighth overall. Salaam owns the fourth-fastest time in OU history, as he clocked a 21.04 in 2009.
