Rowing Announces Novice Team

NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma Head Rowing Coach Leeanne Crain and Assistant Coach Andy Derrick announced the novice roster for the 2009-10 season Sunday. The novice team joins the 31 varsity members to make up the Oklahoma rowing team.

"I was extremely pleased with the quality of the athletes trying out for the team this year," Derrick said. "Their athleticism is allowing us to move forward faster than in the past and is a good sign of things to come. We have a long way to go, but I am anxious to see who out of the group rises to the top and helps us to improve on the program's first year successes."
