NORMAN, Okla. - As a bonus to OU softball fans, SoonerSports.com will provide a wrap-up of former All-American Samantha Ricketts' season with the Akron Racers of National Pro Fastpitch this summer. Ricketts joins a tradition-rich line of former Sooners in the National Pro Fastpitch ranks.

In last week's series against the USSSA Pride, Ricketts and the Racers came out on top winning four of the five games in the series.

In the second game, Ricketts had her first extra-bases hit of the year with a double. On July 31, Ricketts was walked twice by USSSA Pride pitcher Kia Fennell. In the game, she also recorded a sacrifice hit that scored one run in the Racers' 10-1 victory.

This week's matchups will be the last regular season series for the Akron Racers. The series against the Chicago Bandits begins Wednesday, August 5. The Racers host the National Pro Fastpitch Championship Series, August 19th - 23rd
