NORMAN, Okla. -- As a bonus to OU softball fans, SoonerSports.com will provide a wrap-up of former All-American Samantha Ricketts' season with the Akron Racers of National Pro Fastpitch this summer. At the close of the regular season, Ricketts and the Racers are set for a post season run.

In last week's series against the Chicago Bandits, Ricketts and the Racers came out on top, sweeping the Bandits in a four games in the series.

Closing the regular season, Ricketts' recorded 17 hits, nine RBI, one double, one home run and plated four runs.

The first-place Akron Racers are set to host the 2009 National Pro Fastpitch Championship Series at Firestone Stadium August 19-23. The NPF Championship Series will feature the top four teams in the league, which currently include the Chicago Bandits, Akron Racers, Rockford Thunder and U.S.S.S.A. Pride.
