Flores Leads A's to 3-2 win in Canada

SURREY, B.C. - Oklahoma seniors Amber Flores and Lindsey Vandever continued play at the 16th Canada Cup International Women's Fastpitch Tournament Wednesday afternoon. The California Activities recorded a 3-2 win over the California Goldrush in round robin action.

Flores went 2-for-3, driving in one run on a first-inning double. The RBI proved to be the game winner. Flores' second hit was a sixth-inning single. Incoming freshman Brianna Turang went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Rookie Keilani Ricketts reached base in the third inning on a fielding error.

Vandever and Flores are utilizing the micro-blogging Website, Twitter.com to report on the tournament. Fans can follow the duo at Twitter via user names ou_amberflores and ou_linzvandever.

The team returns closes out round robin action Thursday with two contests. The A's take on the Washington Absolute Blast at 12:30 p.m. CT and the host White Rock Renegades Jr. at 5:30 p.m. CT. Live line score updates are available at www.CanadaCup.com.
