Vandever Carries Softball to 21-3 Win

SURREY, B.C. – Oklahoma seniors Amber Flores and Lindsey Vandever continued play at the 16th Canada Cup International Women's Fastpitch Tournament Sunday evening. The California Activities posted a 4-1 win over the host White Rock Renegades.

The A's tallied three runs in the sixth inning after Vandever led off with a single and then advanced to second. Vandever moved to third on a fielding error. Vandever then scored on a single by incoming freshman Keilani Ricketts. Ricketts later scored on another fielding error.

Another incoming rookie, Michelle Gascoigne, picked up the win in the circle for the A's. Gascoigne allowed one run on four hits and fanned four. Ricketts saw a relief appearance, picking up the save with three strikeouts.
