NORMAN, Okla. - As a bonus to OU softball fans, SoonerSports.com will provide a wrap-up of former All-American Samantha Ricketts' season with the Akron Racers of National Pro Fastpitch this summer. Ricketts joins a tradition-rich line of former Sooners in the National Pro Fastpitch ranks.

Ricketts had a big series this week against the USSSA Pride. 

In the second game of the series, Ricketts totaled of the team's five hits. In the third game of the series, Ricketts recorded two singles for the Racers in three at-bats. On July 18, Ricketts tallied two more hits. In the series' final game Ricketts batted in the second spot and led the Racers with a 1-for-4 outing, including two runs driven in, one walk, and one run scored. 

The Racers next series is at home and starts Wednesday, July 22. Stayed tuned to Soonersports.com for more updates on Ricketts and the Akron Racers.
