Vandever Named to All-Tourney Team

SURREY, B.C. – Oklahoma seniors Amber Flores and Lindsey Vandever wrapped up play in the 16th Canada Cup International Women's Fastpitch Tournament this past weekend. The California A's reached the International Championship Round after finishing second in the women's division standings. The A's fell to Australia, 4-1 before dropping an elimination game to the Aussies, 1-0.

In the opening game of the championship round, Vandever went 1-for-3. Flores was 0-for-2 but recorded the A's only RBI on a sacrifice bunt in the first inning. Incoming freshman Brianna Turang was also 1-for-3.

In the elimination loss, Vandever and Flores each went 1-for-3. Incoming freshman Keilani Ricketts picked up the loss, pitching six innings. Ricketts allowed just one earned run on six hits, walked two and struck out four.

Vandever was named to the All-Tournament team.
