NORMAN, Okla. - As a bonus to OU softball fans, SoonerSports.com will provide a wrap-up of former All-American Samantha Ricketts' season with the Akron Racers of National Pro Fastpitch this summer. Ricketts joins a tradition-rich line of former Sooners in the National Pro Fastpitch ranks.

The Akron Racers faced Philadelphia Force on June 26. Ricketts recorded the first hit of her professional career against Force pitcher Jessica Sallinger. She also tallied one walk and drove in one run during the game.

During a rematch against the Force on June 28, Ricketts registered yet another hit and walk in her only two at-bats.

Ricketts and the Racers return to action on July 7 against the Force in Philadelphia.
