FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-- The University of Oklahoma men's cross country team finished second at the Arkansas/Missouri Southern State Dual Friday evening, in Fayetteville, Ark.
Host team Arkansas won the event, scoring 15 points. Oklahoma (51) finished ahead of Missouri Southern who scored 64 points.
The Sooner men were led by newcomer Andres Gonzalez who paced the four-mile course in 21:27.2, finishing in 15th place. Following right behind Gonzalez was junior Chris Sweeney running a time of 21:27.3, while Cole Crosby (21:52) and Aaron Goble (21:54) finished in 17th and 18th place, respectivily. Sophomore Connor Wann rounded out the Sooner scoring by running a time of 22:08 and finishing in 20th place.
Lane Boyer of Arkansas took top individual honors with a time of 19:57.
The Sooners return to action Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Missouri Southern Stampede in Joplin, Mo.
