Super Regional Dates, Times Set

NORMAN, Okla. - The 10th-seeded Oklahoma softball team has its times set for the NCAA Super Regional this weekend in Tucson, Ariz., against the seventh-seeded Arizona Wildcats. Oklahoma and Arizona will open Super Regional action this Friday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. (CT) at Hillenbrand Stadium.

The best-of-three series will continue on Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. contest followed by an "if necessary" third game scheduled for 3:30 p.m. All games will be televised live on ESPN and will also be available at E360.com.

The Sooners have advanced to their third Super Regional in the last four years. Oklahoma run ruled Oregon in the regional final Sunday afternoon, 11-0, in Norman to win its eighth regional title and move on to the Super Regional.

It marks the second time that both schools have met up in Super Regional action in Tucson. The Sooners were swept by the Wildcats in 2005, the first year that the Super Regional format began.

General public sales begin on Tuesday, May 20 at 9 a.m. Tickets will be sold and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis in order of date received until sold out. Single game tickets will go on sale on the day of the Tucson Super Regional Game 1 (May 23 or May 24).
