Softball Hosts Fan Fest Friday

NORMAN, Okla. - The No. 7 Oklahoma softball team closed out its regular season on Wednesday night and will celebrate with its Senior Night/Fan Fest this Friday night at 6 p.m. at the OU Softball Complex. The team will be honoring the four-member senior class of Lauren Eckermann, Savannah Long, Susan Ogden and Jadyn Smith.

In addition to the senior ceremony, the OU Diamond Club will be sponsoring a Fan Fest as Sooner fans will have the opportunity to participate in contests against the players. There will also be autographed merchandise giveaways and inflatable games as well as food and drinks.

Come out and help the Sooners celebrate one of their best Big 12 seasons in school history. Oklahoma finished 16-2 in the league, marking its second-best Big 12 mark in school history as the 2000 team went 17-1.

OU finished second in the final Big 12 standings, marking the 10th time in the 13-year history of the conference that the Sooners have finished in the top two of the final standings.

Oklahoma will enjoy a nine-day break before opening Big 12 Championship action on Saturday, May 10. As the No. 2 seed in the single-elimination tournament, the Sooners will play at 11 a.m. at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
