NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma softball game against Team USA will air on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night on ESPN2. The Sooners dropped the close 2-0 game to the Olympic squad on March 25 at ASA Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, but the game was scheduled for a tape-delay showing for this Tuesday night.
OU's game was part of the Team USA's Bound 4 Beijing Tour. The Red, White and Blue are traveling all around the country this spring and playing the top collegiate teams in preparation for the 2008 Olympics.
The exhibition game did not count towards OU's overall stats this season, but Oklahoma kept the game entertaining as OU starter D.J. Mathis gave up two earned runs on four hits while walking one and striking out one in 5.1 innings of work. USA scored two runs in the bottom of the third that made the difference in the game.
Team USA threw three different pitchers and did not give up a hit until the final frame when Savannah Long broke up the no-hitter with an infield single against Cat Osterman.
Sooner fans will have a chance to catch the action four different times on the ESPN network as the game will be re-aired three other times after Tuesday night's broadcast. Below is a look at the TV schedule for the OU vs. USA Softball game.
