Softball to Sign Autographs Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. -- The No. 5 Oklahoma softball team will make appearances at Sooner Mall in Norman and Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City this Saturday, Feb. 2 to sign autographs and hand out posters for the 2008 season. The squad will be at Sooner Mall from 12:30 - 2 p.m. and will head to Penn Square Mall from 3:30 - 5 p.m.

The Sooners are gearing up for the 2008 season, which starts next Friday, Feb. 8 with the Freeway Series in Westwood, Calif. OU's season opener will feature a battle of top-10 teams as No. 5 OU will take on No. 10 UCLA in the opening round of the tournament.

Oklahoma will host its home opener on Tuesday, Feb. 12 against St. Gregory's at 3:30 p.m. inside the OU Softball Complex. Season ticket packages are still available.

Sooner fans who don't want to wait until Saturday to catch a glimpse of the 2008 Sooners still have the opportunity to attend the annual "Meet the Team" banquet this Friday, Feb. 1 at 6:30 p.m. inside Journey Church.
