Softball Banquet Set for Feb. 1

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma softball team and head coach Patty Gasso will host their annual "Meet The Team" preseason banquet on the evening of Friday, Feb. 1. The festivities will be held at Journey Church and are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Following a casual dinner, a highlight video will kick off the dinner along with a short preview from Gasso. Players from each class will take the stage after Gasso and pass along a personal message to the Sooner fans.

For the fourth consecutive season the voice of OU softball, Brian Brinkley, will emcee the preseason event.

The event is open to the public, who are urged to RSVP to Kaycee Clark in the OU Softball Offices. Clark can be reached with confirmations or inquiries at (405) 325-8377. Tickets are $20.

SEASON TICKET INFORMATION
Fans can still purchase their season tickets by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at 325-2424. The Sooners will play 22 home games at the OU Softball Complex during the 2008 regular season. Season tickets are $100 for reserved seating and $70 for general admission.

In addition to season tickets, the ticket office will also be selling Boomer and Sooner Ticket Packages. Each package includes a general admission ticket for 11 select OU home games and costs $40. Call the ticket office for more information.

Single game tickets will go on sale in mid-February while group single game tickets are $3 each for 10-99 people and $2 each for 100 or more and are available now.
