LUBBOCK, Texas -- Latoya Greaves and Marcus Pugh both picked up titles as four of the five University of Oklahoma sprinters who competed at the Texas Tech Invitational finished in top five in their respective events Saturday.
Greaves, who transferred to OU from Oklahoma Baptist, took the women's title in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.86, equaling the NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
In his first short sprint action of the season after winning the Big 12 60-meter title in 2007, Pugh took top honors in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.27, just off the NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 6.26.
Two Oklahoma men finished in the top five of the 55-meter hurdles finals as Sheldon Leith (7.44) finished third and freshman D'Andre Fisher (7.75) came in fifth.
Demeeka Jones was third in qualifying in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.08, but recorded a DNF in the finals.
OU returns to action Jan. 25-26 with a trip to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Razorback Invitational.
