OU Travels to Shoal Creek Intercollegiate

NORMAN, Okla. --The University of Oklahoma men's golf team returns to the links this week in Birmingham, Ala., for the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate. The 12-team field will compete at the par-72, 7,114-yard Shoal Creek Country Club.
The 54-hole tournament format features 36 holes on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. (CT), while Tuesday's 18-hole final round will commence at 8:35 a.m. off the No. 1 and 10th tee.
The field includes Auburn, Georgia Southern, LSU, No. 24 Michigan State, Mississippi, Nevada, North Florida, Texas Tech, UAB, UCF and Vanderbilt.
Along with 24th-ranked Michigan State, four other teams in the field received votes in the latest Golf World/ NIKE Golf Coaches Poll.
OU's lineup for the event will include senior Phillip Bryan (Mustang, Okla.), sophomore's Ben Blundell (Rowlett, Texas), Eric Durbin (Houston, Texas) Tyler Rody (Andover, Kan.) and true freshman Ryan Sirman (Tyler, Texas).

Sirman is making is Sooner debut while Durbin is coming off of a second-place showing at the Scenic City Invitational that included a first-round, 7-under-par 64.
