Sooners Fare Well at Oklahoma State Amateur

NORMAN, Okla. -- Incoming men's golf freshman Cameron Meyers fired an even-par 70 on Monday at the Trails Golf Club in Norman, Okla., to advance to the match play portion of the Oklahoma State Amateur Championship.

Former Sooner J.J. Wood carded a 3-over-par 73 to also advance.

The top 64 golfers from Monday's stroke play portion advance to match play which begins today.

Meyers, who completed his senior season on the nationally-ranked Edmond North golf squad this past spring, will face Norman native Jordan Wynn is his opening match. The two will start off the 10th tee at 9:24 a.m. (CST).

Wood faces Del City's Ryan Spears at 9:31 a.m. (CST) off the first tee.
