NORMAN, Okla. -- Watch video of the No. 2 Oklahoma softball team winning the Big 12 Championship.  The Sooners (52-6) played three games in less than 24 hours on their way to the trophy and defeated Texas Tech, 6-3, in the title game on Saturday afternoon.

OU picked up its third Big 12 Championship title in its history and first since 2001.  OU's other tournament title came in the first ever Big 12 Championship in 1996.

Junior Lauren Eckermann picked up MVP honors of the tournament afer throwing all three games and improving her record to 34-3.  Also picking up all-tournament recognition were freshman Lindsey Vandever, junior Savannah Long and senior Norrelle Dickson.
