Women's Tennis to Take On Tulsa

February 12, 2007 | Women's Tennis

Norman, Okla.- The women's tennis team will head to Tulsa Tuesday Feb. 13 to take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.  This is the second of three road duals for the Sooners.

They are coming off a 2-5 loss at Arkansas but the Sooners are building their young team with every match played.

“I thought we played well Friday at seven of the nine spots,” said head coach Mark Johnson.  “It was a match we could have won we just have to execute better.”

Tulsa and Oklahoma first met in 1976 and have played 26 times since.  Currently Oklahoma leads the series 23-3.

“We are excited to head to Tulsa,” said Johnson.  “It is always a great dual.”

The Sooners and the Golden Hurricanes will face off at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Results will be posted on SoonerSports.com.
