SB to Appear at Malls on Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. --The No. 16 Oklahoma softball team will make appearances at Crossroads Mall and Quail Springs Mall this Saturday, Feb. 3. The squad will sign autographs at Crossroads Mall from 10-11:30 a.m. and head to Quail Springs Mall from 2-3:30 p.m. Oklahoma coaches and players will be signing autographs and handing out schedule posters for the upcoming 2007 season.

The Sooners are gearing up for the 2007 season, which starts next Friday, Feb. 9 at the Diamond Fun and Sun Classic in Miami, Fla. OU's season opener will feature a battle of top-25 teams as OU will take on No. 20 Louisville in the opening round of the tournament.

Oklahoma will host its home opener on Friday, Feb. 16 against Minnesota at 2:30 p.m. in the OU/Nike Classic at the OU Softball Complex. Joining Minnesota and Oklahoma in the three-day tournament are Birmingham Southern and Northwestern State.

Sooner fans who don't want to wait until Saturday to catch a glimpse of the 2007 Sooners still have the opportunity to attend the annual “Meet the Team” banquet this Friday, Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. inside the Sooner Legends Inn and Suites.
