Softball Hosts St. Gregory's Tuesday

NORMAN, Okla. - The Oklahoma softball team will return to its fall schedule this week. The Sooners will host St. Gregory's at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and return to the OU Softball Complex on Thursday when it hosts Northern Oklahoma College at 6 p.m.

Tuesday night's game will mark OU's eighth of the season as they own a 7-0 mark so far. The fall schedule does not count towards the squad's record in the spring, but provides an opportunity for the players to compete against other teams while allowing the fans a glimpse of the 2008 squad.

The Sooners will close out their fall schedule next Wednesday, Oct. 17 as they host Connors at 5 p.m. at the OU Softball Complex.

The Sooners welcome back 13 members, including seven starters, from a 2007 squad that produced one of the best records in school history (55-8) while claiming a Big 12 Championship and advancing to an NCAA Super Regional.
