NORMAN, Okla. - OU's fall softball game against Connors State College has been cancelled. The Sooners were supposed to play at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, but inclement weather cancelled the contest.

The game will not be rescheduled so the Sooners have closed out their fall season with a perfect 9-0 record.

The Oklahoma offense recorded a .455 team batting average this fall with 10 different Sooners hitting .400 or better. Amber Flores led the scoring with 22 RBI while rookie Chana'e Jones followed with 21 throughout nine games. The OU pitching staff was also solid in fall action as it recorded a combined ERA of 0.61 and held opponents to a .128 batting average.

The Sooners will continue through the fall with individual practices and conditioning before resuming team practice next semester on January 22. OU will open the spring season with the UCLA Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament (Feb. 8-10) OU's season opener will be against UCLA on Friday, Feb. 8 in Westwood, Calif.

The Sooners welcome back 13 members, including seven starters, from a 2007 squad that produced one of the best records in school history (55-8) while claiming a Big 12 Championship and advancing to an NCAA Super Regional.
