Velicka and Kacmar Head to Waco

NORMAN, Okla. -- Two Sooners will compete in their first tournament of the fall season in Waco, Texas, at the sixth annual Baylor HEB Intercollegiate Invtational.

No. 46 ITA-ranked and 2005-06 First Team All-Big 12 selection senior Marek Velicka and newcomer Ondrej Kacmar will be competing in the Baylor Invitational Friday, Sept. 22 through Sunday, Sept. 24.

The tournament will consist of a green and gold draw for both the singles and doubles with 64-player singles draws and 32-team doubles draws.  Joining Velicka and Kacmar will be another 120 student-athletes, 36 of whom are ranked, representing 26 different colleges and universities.

Velicka and Kacmar will begin play Friday with Velicka competing in the gold draw and Kacmar in the green draw. The two will team up to play in the doubles gold draw.

Results will be available on SoonerSports.com as soon as they become available.
