Softball Opens Fall Slate Friday

NORMAN, Okla. The Oklahoma softball team will kick off its fall slate this Friday night against Seminole State with an extended game beginning at 5 p.m. inside the OU Softball Complex.

Friday night's game marks the first of 12 that will be played at the OU Softball Complex. While none of the games will count towards the regular-season record in the spring, it is a great opportunity for OU fans to get an early glimpse of the 2007 version of the OU squad.

Admission to Friday's game will be $4 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.

Fall Schedule | 2007 Roster

Following the Seminole State contest, Oklahoma will host the Fall Festival during a football bye weekend (Sept. 29-Oct. 1), giving OU fans a great opportunity to watch the Sooner squad.

Oklahoma will play five games that weekend, facing off against Northern, Southwestern, Washburn, Texas Women's University and Pittsburg State.

This year's Sooner squad will feature four newcomers and 15 returnees from a 2006 team that produced a 40-21-1 overall mark and advanced to the NCAA Regional Championships.
