Vesely was outstanding in game three, going 2-for-2 at the plate and scoring a run in the Riptide's 4-3 win.
Valdez pitched for the Heat in game four, but was charged with the loss after the Riptide took the 3-0 victory. The Riptide have now won six games in a row and remain in second place in the league. The Heat sit in fifth place in the league standings.
Stewart and the Philadelphia Force were swept by the Connecticut Brakettes in four games. Stewart was charged with the loss in game one after pitching all six innings in the 3-1 defeat. The squad has now lost seven straight games in the NPF where it sits in last place.
Enea and the Chicago Bandits pounded the Michigan Ice in two games in this week's action, 9-0 and 3-0. The Bandits, who have topped the league standings all summer, remain in first place with a 25-7 record.
