Softball Hosts Fall Game Wednesday

NORMAN, Okla. The Oklahoma softball team will put its perfect fall record to the test Wednesday night as it hosts Carl Albert State College at 5 p.m. inside the OU Softball Complex.

Wednesday night's game marks OU's seventh contest of the fall season. While none of the games will count towards the regular-season record in the spring, it is a great opportunity for OU fans to get an early glimpse of the 2007 version of the OU squad.

Admission to the game will be $4 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens.

Oklahoma will round out the fall season this weekend as it hosts the OU Fall Tournament Oct. 14-15. Fans coming to the early football game Saturday will have the opportunity to stop by OU Softball Complex afterwards and watch the Sooners take on St. Gregory's at 3:30 p.m. and Northwestern (Okla.) at 5:45 p.m.

In Sunday's action, Oklahoma will host Eastern (2:30 p.m.) and Murray State (4:45 p.m.) in a doubleheader.

This year's Sooner squad will feature four newcomers and 15 returnees from a 2006 team that produced a 40-21-1 overall mark and advanced to the NCAA Regional 9 Championships.
