NORMAN, Okla. -- As a bonus to Oklahoma softball fans, the staff of SoonerSports.com will provide a weekly glimpse at former players competing in the National Pro Fastpitch league. Today's installment covers week six of the NPF season for two Sooner alums. Check back every Wednesday for an updated look at the Sooners in the professional ranks.
The Chicago Bandits and Akron Racers met last weekend to fight for the first place spot in the league. After winning three of the four games, Chicago moved past Akron into sole possession of first place in NPF. The Racers dropped down to third place. With a record of 21-3, the Bandits will play Canada Elite in a four-game series starting Thursday, July 14th.
Bandit first baseman Christina Enea had a solid weekend against the Racers. In 14 at bats she tallied four hits, four runs, and one RBI. Enea's bat continues to heat up after a slow start to the season.

The Texas Thunder and Erin Evans moved back in to fifth place after sweeping a three game series with Team Venezuela. As they prepare for a series against the Phoenix Flames, they hope to improve their 15-8 record.
Evans played in two of the four games last weekend and had 5 at bats and one hit. The Sooner alum is hitting .275, which is fourth best among regulars, while also reaching base at a .362 clip.
The New York Juggernauts played without Heather Scaglione again last weekend as they took the series from the New England Riptide and improved their record of 20-3. Scaglione and teammate, Kaleo Eldredge, will re-join their team this weekend in a four-game series against Team Venezuela.
With the help of Heather Scaglione's grand-slam against Australia, the USA Elite Team advanced to the gold-medal game in the Canada Cup. The team went in to the championship game undefeated where they came out on the losing end of a rematch with the Aussies.
Despite the grand slam, Scaglione was inconsistent offensively during the international competition. She hit just .188 in 15 at bats. The San Diego native was a major contributor defensively, though. The Sooner alum claimed the starting catching duties in the two of the three elimination games, including the semifinal and championship game.
Up next the USA Elite team will take a 10-day break before traveling to Madrid, Spain July 20 to compete in the Inter-Continental Cup.
