NORMAN, Okla. -- The San Diego Union-Tribune named Heather Scaglione its Athlete of the Week for her accomplishments with the University of Oklahoma softball team, in addition to her recently being named to the USA Elite Team. Scaglione is a native of San Diego and attended Rancho Bernardo High School before becoming a Sooner.
Scaglione finished up back-to-back First Team All-America seasons in June and immediately went on to compete for the NY/NJ Juggernaut of the Nation Pro Fastpitch League. She is on hiatus from the pro team while she competes for the Red, White and Blue.
