Today's installment covers week two of the NPF season for three Sooner alums. Check back every Wednesday for an updated look at the Sooners in the professional ranks.
Scaglione's team, the New York/New Jersey Juggernauts, is tied for first place in the league with the Akron Racers. The team is set to play the Stratford Brakettes Thursday through Sunday at 7 p.m.
Christina Enea and the Chicago Bandits moved into second place after playing Team Venezuela in last weekend's series. Enea had 12 at bats, zero hits, two runs, and three RBIs.
The Bandits will play Team China Thursday through Sunday at 7 p.m. The Chicago Bandits will also host the 2005 national reunion of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League on Saturday, June 18.
The Texas Thunder opened their season against the Arizona Heat. Evans began her season with seven at bats and two hits. The team hopes to bounce back from their 2-2 weekend record this weekend as they play Russian National on Thursday through Sunday at 7 p.m.
Scaglione and Kristen Vesely are currently in Chula Vista, Calif where they are competing for one of the spots on the National and Elite teams. More information on how these players did will be posted next Wednesday, along with updates on Sooners in the NPF.
