NORMAN, Okla -- The executives at ESPN have chosen to spotlight the Tucson Super Regional match up between the Oklahoma and Arizona softball teams this weekend by showcasing the best-of-three series on ESPN and ESPN2. Of the three Super Regional series carried by the ESPN family of networks (Texas/Bethune Cookman and UCLA/Georgia are the others), only the Sooners and Wildcats matchup will be aired on basic cable.
“It is another great opportunity to showcase Sooner softball,” said OU head coach Patty Gasso. “It is a tremendous matchup between two outstanding programs and one that is deserving of a national TV broadcast.”
In addition to the broadcast news, ESPN also announced the game times for the Super Regional. The Friday opener will be at 6:30 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on ESPN2. Game two will air live on ESPN Saturday at 4 p.m. (CST), while the “if necessary” third game will air at 8 p.m. (CST) on ESPN2.

CSTV will also broadcast the Michigan/ Washington Super Regional from Ann Arbor.
