Big 12 Lands Record Eight Teams In NCAA Field

Softball Postpones Game With OCU

Oklahoma softball head coach Patty Gasso announced that tonight's 5 p.m., contest with Oklahoma City University has been postponed due to poor weather.  The two teams will attempt to reschedule the game but a date has not been announced.

The No. 4 OU softball team can probably use the rest after playing eight games in five days last week.  OU posted a 6-2 record last week, including a 4-2 mark in the OU/Nike Classic.

A busy weekend awaits the Sooners who travel to Columbus, Ga., for the annual NFCA Leadoff Classic.  The tournament features 14 teams ranked in last week's top-25, including five top-10 teams.

Oklahoma (12-2-1) will face UMass and Central Michigan during pool play on Friday.  OU will wrap up pool play against No. 25 DePaul on Saturday morning.  Championship bracket play begins Saturday evening and runs through Sunday afternoon.
