For Keiter it was the first time in 29 innings of work this fall that she had given up a run. In all she allowed just one earned run to to cross on the season and led the Sooner staff with a dazzling spring ERA of 0.23.
OU rallied in the top of the sixth as senior Jessica Leslie sparked the Sooner offense. But, Scaglione stole the show, hitting her second three-run home run of the day to seal the victory for the Sooners. Scaglione drove Trahan's first offering over the center field fence with two outs and sure defeat staring her team in the face in the time-limited game.
Scaglione was spectacular during the five-game tournament, going 7-for-14, scoring six runs and driving in eight. Dickson went 6-for-12 and scored five runs.
The trio of Scaglione, Dickson and Keiter all hit their collective strides this weekend, which is an encouraging sign for the USA Elite Team. All three will compete for the USA at the First World University Games for Softball in Plant City, Fla. in nine days. The games run from Oct. 26-31.
