NORMAN, Okla. - The final game of the 2003 Bedlam softball series will be played live in front of a statewide television audience. No. 5 Oklahoma travels to Stillwater on Thursday, April 24, to battle No. 15 Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast by Cox Cable.

Both teams are on a roll. The Sooners have outscored their last four opponents by a 35-4 margin after blanking Tulsa, 8-0, in their most recent action on Tuesday night. Oklahoma is 36-8 overall and 10-5 in the Big 12 Conference. Senior infielder Leah Gulla leads the conference with a .417 batting average and has hit safely in seven consecutive games. Sophomore pitcher Kami Keiter is 25-4 overall and leads the league in innings pitched with an outstanding 0.76 ERA.

Oklahoma State is 34-9 overall and 12-3 in the Big 12. The Cowgirls swept Iowa State in a doubleheader on Monday night after dealing No. 6 Nebraska two defeats in Lincoln last weekend.

OSU leads the all-time series 62-50 but Oklahoma has won the last 14 consecutive games between the intrastate rivals. In the first Bedlam game of the season in Norman on April 2, the Sooners pulled off a dramatic 2-1 win. In front of 1,365 fans -- the largest crowd ever to witness a regular season game at the OU Softball Complex -- sophomore catcher Heather Scaglione belted a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh to propel Oklahoma past the Cowgirls.
