  • Arizona improved to 12-2 in opening games at the Women's College World Series and 13-0 in night games this year. The Wildcats' win over Nebraska was their 10th straight against the Huskers and they improved to 6-0 versus Nebraska in postseason action.

  • Nebraska was shut out for only the fourth time in 62 games this season.

  • Arizona first baseman Leneah Manuma's fourth-inning solo home run was her first hit in five WCWS games. Manuma leads the nation with 21 round-trippers this year. The RBI was her 70th of the season.

  • Peaches James, Nebraska's sophomore pitcher, had a streak of 20.0 innings without allowing an earned run snapped by Manuma's homer.

  • Arizona was held to three hits or less for the fourth time this season. Interestingly, the Wildcats are 3-1 in those games.

  • Arizona improved to 5-0 in 1-0 games this year while Nebraska fell to 4-3 in such contests.

  • Wildcats senior pitcher Jennie Finch tied last year's personal mark for wins in a single season tonight. She is 32-5 on the year with a 0.88 ERA.

  • Arizona has won five straight WCWS games.
