Alumni Association Plans Events With Sooner Softball & Baseball

NORMAN, Okla. - University of Oklahoma Sooner softball and baseball fans are invited to attend pre-game functions at upcoming Sooner softball and baseball games. The events, hosted by the OU Alumni Association, will feature hot dogs and hamburgers.

The softball pre-game cookout is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. prior to OU's game with Texas. The game between the Big 12 leading Sooners and second-place Texas is scheduled to start at noon at the OU Softball Complex which is located at the corner of Wadsack and Jenkins. To get to the cookout, Sooner fans should enter the gate southeast of the complex. The cost for the cookout is $5 for adults and children under six are free. The cost does not include a game ticket. Tickets are available by calling the OU Athletic Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424.

The baseball pre-game reception is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ball Park in Oklahoma City. The Sooners host Arizona State at 7 p.m. and the reception is scheduled to run from 5-6:30 p.m. Tickets for the reception are $20 and include a game ticket. Tickets for the reception for those fans who already have game tickets are $10. The reception will be held in the outfield picnic area and those attending should enter the deep right entrance.
