WACO, Texas - Senior pitcher Angela Foster tossed her first career no-hitter as a Sooner to lead the 12th-ranked Oklahoma softball team to a 2-0 win over No. 22 Baylor for the series sweep at Getterman Stadium Sunday afternoon. After allowing the first two batters she faced to reach base on a walk and a fielder's choice, Foster sat down 17 straight to end the game. Foster's battery mate, freshman catcher Christina Enea (3-for-4), collected half of the team's six hits on the day and doubled in a run. The Sooner defense also aided Foster's cause as they recorded their fourth errorless game in the last five contests. The win locked up a second place Big 12 Conference finish for OU (41-12, 14-2 Big 12) who swept its seventh conference foe for the third year in a row and won its 18th straight over the Bears. Baylor finished their season at 45-16 overall and 10-8 in the league.

Foster's walk in the first inning was her only one of the game as she added two strikeouts to her performance. She only needed 74 pitches in the game to sit down the Bears in order through the final six frames.

Junior third baseman Leah Gulla (1-for-1) started the scoring for Oklahoma in the second inning as she led off with her team and conference leading 14th home run of the season.

Enea made it a 2-0 lead for OU when she doubled off the left field wall and drove in junior shortstop Kelli Braitsch (0-for-3) who hustled around from first base after drawing a one-out walk.

The Sooners defeated Baylor's Cristin Vitek (17-8) for the second day in a row.

The Sooners will honor their three departing seniors at the team's final home game on Tuesday against Tulsa. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on KREF 1400. OU binoculars and $.50 hot dogs and Cokes will be the special promotions during the season home finale.
