Women's Tennis Team Undefeated After Two Days

NORMAN, Okla. - After two days of competition in Hawaii, the No. 42 Oklahoma women's tennis team is 10-2 on the season. The Sooners defeated Chaminade (0-8) on Monday, 9-0, and Hawaii (5-12) on Tuesday, 4-2, in Honolulu. Oklahoma is finishing up play today against Clemson.
Sophomore Anda Perianu lost just her second singles match of the season in a hard-fought three set match to Hawaii's Lauren Fitzgerald (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4). Perianu is now 9-2 on the season. Juniors Elena Jirnova and Annette Bryntesson and freshmen Bethany Griffin and Jessica Braver claimed OU's four points and led the Sooners to their 10th victory of the season. Individual results from the Chaminade match were not available at time of release.
