Softball Hosts Fall Classic Friday And Saturday

NORMAN, Okla. - Softball hosts the OU Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4-5. The Sooners play St. Gregory's at 4:30 p.m. and Eastern Oklahoma State at 6:45 p.m. on Friday at the OU Softball Complex. The Sooners then play Collin County CC at 2:15 p.m. and St. Gregory's at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission for the events is $5 for adults, $2 for children from five to high school and free for OU students with valid ID.

On Sept. 21, Oklahoma hosted the Fall Festival and came away with wins over Oklahoma Christian (1-0) and Neosho (8-2). Senior Kelli Braitsch (Broken Arrow, Okla.) doubled to drive in freshman Dana Askins (Moore, Okla.) in the third frame for the Sooners lone score in a 1-0 win over Oklahoma Christian. Later in the evening, the Sooners' 8-2 win over Neosho was highlighted by a home run in the sixth for Braitsch.

Oklahoma will also host Seminole State at 4 p.m. on Oct. 16 and Southwestern State at 4 p.m. on Oct. 22.
