Texas A&M vs. Missouri Recap

Texas A&M plated a run in the first inning and three more in the fourth en route to a 4-0 victory over Missouri, eliminating the Tigers from tournament play.

In the bottom of the opening frame, Kelly Ferguson drew a two-out walk and came around to score on a Crystal Martin double. In the fourth, Jennifer Davis singled in Lisa Klam and then Ferguson rapped a two-run single to finish the scoring. The final two runs were unearned.

A&M's Jessica Slataper tossed a complete-game two-hitter and struck out four without issuing a walk. She improved to 10-6 on the year and 2-0 in the tournament. Stephanie Falk, who got the decision in all three Missouri tournament games (1 win and 2 losses), gave up five hits and six walks in 6.0 innings in dropping to 24-20. The Tigers fell to 31-28 with the loss.

Texas A&M, now 32-18, will play the loser of tonight's Oklahoma/Texas Tech game Friday morning at 11.
